Introducing Biodesign Australia!

An immersive 6 month course based on the Biodesign innovation process. This has been developed by world-leading Stanford Biodesign to identify unmet clinical needs, then invent and implement biomedical technologies to address them. In Biodesign Australia courses we assemble multidisciplinary teams of the brightest minds in medicine, engineering, business and research, and teach them how to develop new medical technologies and business strategies to solve unmet clinical needs identified here in Australia.

Biodesign Australia courses are experiential in nature, focus on biomedical entrepreneurship, are designed for the Australian biomedical environment, and thrive on support from industry, healthcare and academic organisations and professionals.

Biodesign Australia courses are an initiative of Accelerating Australia, thanks to support from MTPConnect, consortium members and ecosystem supporters.

“This program has opened up a world of possibilities for our team and has given us the confidence to pursue opportunities to develop our start-up and gain visibility in the digital health space. We were recently very honoured to be selected for the “Innovation Central” award through West Tech Fest, which wouldn’t have been possible without the support and mentorship offered by the course.

I strongly believe that the Design Course is a very powerful and unique opportunity which can give as much as someone is willing to put in. Since the beginning, I believed in the program, the organisers, the team and the project and what I have learnt is inestimable.
